Your Cassie wallet lives on Base — Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer 2 network. Cassie trades exclusively in USDC, so you need to deposit USDC on Base before any mention can execute. The deposit is a standard on-chain transfer; Cassie detects it automatically and reflects the balance in your dashboard.

Find your wallet address

Your wallet address is available in two places:
  • Onboarding — Step 3 (Fund): A QR code and copyable address are shown as soon as your wallet is ready.
  • Dashboard: Your address and current USDC balance appear in the wallet panel at any time after onboarding.
You can scan the QR code with a mobile wallet or exchange app, or click Copy address to paste it manually.

Deposit USDC on Base

1

Choose your source

Use any exchange or self-custody wallet that supports withdrawals or transfers on the Base network. Popular options include Coinbase, Kraken, and wallets such as MetaMask or Rabby with the Base network added.
2

Initiate the transfer

Enter your Cassie wallet address as the destination and select USDC as the asset. Set the network to Base before confirming. The amount should cover at least your default trade size.
3

Confirm the transaction

Approve the withdrawal or send transaction in your source wallet or exchange. Base transactions typically confirm in a few seconds.
4

Wait for Cassie to detect the deposit

Cassie watches your wallet address for incoming USDC automatically. Your dashboard balance updates as soon as the transaction is confirmed on-chain — no manual refresh needed.
Always select the Base network. USDC sent on Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum, Solana, or any other network will not arrive in your Cassie wallet and cannot be automatically recovered. Double-check the network selection in your exchange or wallet before confirming any transfer.

Minimum balance

Cassie requires at least your configured default trade size to be available in USDC before it will execute a trade. The absolute minimum trade size is $6 USDC.
If your balance drops below your default trade size, Cassie will skip the next mention rather than place a partial trade. Keep a buffer above your default size so a series of rapid mentions doesn’t leave your wallet too low to act.
