Cassie uses your X (Twitter) identity to create an account and provisions a non-custodial wallet on Base that only you control. The whole process takes about two minutes, and trading permission is granted once — no per-trade approvals needed after that.

Sign in with X

1

Go to cassie.trade

Open cassie.trade in your browser and click Sign in with X. Cassie uses Privy to authenticate you — your X credentials are never shared with Cassie directly.
2

Authorise the Privy login

Privy presents a standard OAuth consent screen. Approve it to complete sign-in. You are redirected to the onboarding flow immediately after.

Your Cassie wallet

As soon as you sign in, Cassie creates a Privy-managed wallet on Base for your account. You own this wallet — Cassie has no ability to withdraw funds, send assets to third parties, or move money outside of executing trades you initiate via mention.
Your wallet address is shown on the Fund step of onboarding and is always available on your dashboard. Every Cassie account has exactly one wallet; it cannot be changed or replaced.

Enable trading permission

Before Cassie can act on a mention it needs a one-time trading permission. This is separate from authentication — it tells Cassie it may submit trades from your wallet without prompting you for approval each time.
1

Reach the Permissions step

The onboarding stepper advances automatically after sign-in. You will land on Step 2 — Permissions.
2

Click Enable trading permission

Press the Enable trading permission button. Cassie prepares your account in the background — the button label changes to Enabling permission while this completes.
3

Confirm and continue

Once permission is confirmed the stepper moves to the Fund step automatically. You will not need to repeat this step.
If the permission step shows an error, refresh the page and try again. If the problem persists, make sure your browser allows pop-ups for cassie.trade, then contact support.

Custody model

Cassie’s design is non-custodial by construction:

What Cassie can do

Place trades on Hyperliquid and Polymarket using the USDC balance in your wallet, up to your configured trade size per mention.

What Cassie cannot do

Withdraw funds, transfer assets to any address, change wallet ownership, or act without a valid mention from your X account.
Your funds remain in your Privy-managed wallet at all times. Revoking trading permission from your dashboard immediately stops Cassie from placing further trades.

Next step

Once your account is created and permission is enabled, add USDC to your wallet so Cassie has funds to trade with.

Fund your wallet

Send USDC on Base to your Cassie wallet address.
