Most issues with Cassie fall into a small number of categories: a mention that didn’t trigger a response, a trade that didn’t fill, a wallet balance that isn’t showing up, or a notification channel that went quiet. Work through the relevant section below to resolve the problem quickly.

Cassie didn’t reply to my mention

If you tagged @cassiedottrade and received no reply, check the following:
  • Reply to the original post, not a standalone tweet. Cassie only processes mentions that appear as a reply under a market-flavoured post. A standalone tweet mentioning @cassiedottrade will not trigger the agent.
  • Allow up to a minute for processing. Cassie processes mentions asynchronously. There is usually a short delay between your mention and the reply — wait at least 60 seconds before assuming something went wrong.
  • Confirm you completed onboarding. Cassie only processes mentions from registered users. If you haven’t finished the onboarding flow — including granting trading permission and setting a default trade size — your mentions will not be processed. Visit cassie.trade to complete setup.

Cassie replied “no trade”

A “no trade” reply means Cassie received your mention, ran its full pipeline, and decided not to place an order. Common reasons include:
  • The signal was too ambiguous. The post may not have contained a clear enough directional thesis for Cassie to match to a market. Try pointing Cassie at a post with a more explicit call — something like “X is going to Y because Z.”
  • No suitable active market was found. Cassie searched both Hyperliquid and Polymarket and couldn’t find a market that cleanly expressed the post’s thesis. This is expected for niche or very recent topics.
  • Risk checks blocked the trade. If your wallet balance is below your configured default trade size (minimum $6 USDC), Cassie will not place the order. Check your wallet balance on your dashboard and top up if needed.
Rephrase the mention with a clearer directional thesis — for example, “SOL ETF approval odds are too low, fade it” gives Cassie a cleaner signal than a vague sentiment post.

Trade didn’t fill

If Cassie replied that it submitted an order but no position appears on your dashboard:
  • Cassie places IOC/FAK orders. On Hyperliquid, Cassie uses IOC (Immediate-or-Cancel) limit orders. On Polymarket, Cassie uses FAK (Fill-and-Kill) market buys. Both order types must fill immediately against available liquidity. If the market moved or depth was insufficient at the moment of submission, the order expires unfilled — no partial fills occur.
  • Check your position list. Go to your dashboard and look at the positions tab. If no new position was created after Cassie’s reply, the order did not fill.
  • Try again when liquidity improves. IOC/FAK orders work best in liquid, active markets. Mention Cassie again once conditions improve.
A “trade submitted” reply from Cassie confirms the order was sent to the venue — it does not guarantee a fill. Always verify the position on your dashboard.

Wallet balance not showing

If you sent funds but your dashboard still shows zero balance:
  • Confirm you sent USDC on Base. Deposits on Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum, Solana, or any other chain will not appear. Your Cassie wallet is on Base (chain ID 8453) only. Double-check the network in your sending wallet before retrying.
  • Wait a few minutes. Base transactions typically confirm within seconds, but indexing and balance propagation can take a few minutes. Your dashboard balance updates automatically — refresh after two to three minutes.
  • Check the “Watching for USDC on Base” indicator. During onboarding and on the fund page of your dashboard, a live status indicator confirms that Cassie is watching your wallet address for incoming USDC on Base. If it’s active, your deposit will appear as soon as the transaction confirms.
The minimum trade size is $6 USDC. Make sure your deposit brings your balance above your configured default trade size, or Cassie will decline to trade until you top up.

Telegram not receiving notifications

If you connected Telegram during onboarding but aren’t receiving messages:
  • Send /start to the Cassie Telegram bot. After clicking “Connect Telegram” and opening the bot, you must send the /start command in the Telegram chat. Without this, the bot cannot send you messages. If you skipped this step, open the bot and send /start now.
  • Reconnect if your session expired. Telegram connection sessions can expire. If notifications stopped after working previously, go to your dashboard settings and reconnect Telegram from scratch.
  • Unmute the bot. Check that the Cassie Telegram bot conversation is not muted in your Telegram app. Muted conversations suppress all notifications regardless of your device settings.
Telegram is optional — you can also track all fills, positions, and P&L directly on your Cassie dashboard without connecting a bot.

Can’t enable trading permission

If the trading permission step during onboarding fails or the button doesn’t respond:
  • Allow pop-ups in your browser. The Privy authorisation flow opens in a pop-up window. If your browser is blocking pop-ups for cassie.trade, the flow will silently fail. Add cassie.trade to your browser’s allowed pop-ups list, then try again.
  • Try a different browser or disable extensions. Ad blockers, privacy extensions, and script blockers can interfere with the Privy pop-up. Try enabling trading permission in a clean browser profile or an incognito window with extensions disabled.
If you’re still stuck after working through the steps above, mention your issue to @cassiedottrade on X and the team will help you out.
